Business Engagement Specialist

The Southeast Los Angeles County Workforce Development Board (SELACO WDB), a non-profit Workforce Development Board, provides a range of services to businesses in Southern California, including employee capacity building, assistance with recruitment, job fairs,  talent matching, support to businesses who are facing lay-offs, at risk of closing, and paid work experience opportunities.

We are seeking a Business Engagement Specialist experienced in establishing business connections that lead to opportunities for business growth and development. Ideal candidates can complete Business Need Assessments and facilitate services that support opportunities for paid work experience/internships, building capacity for incumbent worker training, and facilitating job placement opportunities for enrolled customers in SELACO WDB’s workforce services programs.  Selected candidates will excel at creating relationships and leveraging knowledge of workforce development services to address business needs across industries such as manufacturing, logistics, construction, hospitality, medical, technology, and other growth sectors. Candidates must have excellent verbal, written, and public presentation skills, as well as a combination of education and experience equivalent to at least three years of relevant work experience. A valid California driver’s license, a clean driving record, and proof of insurance are required. Salary Range: $50,368 – 61,223 annually, with a generous benefits package. Performance incentives and work-from-home opportunities are also available.
